Watch Out For Unregistered Vehicles, Motorcycles, Tricycles With Dealership Plate Numbers, Police Warns Resident

The Ogun State Police Command hereby issues a public sensitization campaign addressing the rampant use of unregistered vehicles, motorcycles, tricycles, and dealership plate numbers in violation of extant traffic and vehicle registration laws.

A statistical review of 2024 crime data revealed that most violent crimes in the State, including kidnapping, armed robbery, and rival cult killings, were perpetrated by individuals using vehicles in flagrant disregard of traffic regulations. Offenses such as operating without valid papers, driving unregistered vehicles, using expired dealership licenses, and applying artificial tint to cars have become alarmingly common.
