One Person Reported Dead As Gangsters Battle For Supremacy In Diobu

One person was reportedly shot dead at Gambia street axis in Mile 2 Diobu,PortHarcourt on Saturday evening,1st,March,2025 following supremacy battle between suspected Castle and BloodStar houses of Deebam cult groups, we learnt.

We gathered that the suspected cultists numbering over six used machete to cut their target on the neck twice before they shot him on his head which resulted to his death.

A resident of the area who pleaded anonymity told our reporter that aside the one who was reportedly shot dead,he saw another suspected cultist in his pool of blood with machete cuts who ran to a patent medicine dealer(chemist) at Gambia street axis on Saturday night to seek medical help.

We further gathered that the house of Deybam whose member was shot dead,regrouped in a street at Mile 3 Diobu to launch attack on the killers of their man but dispersed hurriedly on noticing presence of Octopus Strike Force unit of Nigeria Police that responded to distress calls and embarked on visibility patrols around the area.

This publication cannot authoritatively confirm the killing of the suspected cultist as the Spokesperson for the Rivers State Police,Grace Iringe Koko was yet to respond to enquiry by our reporter on the incident but multiple security sources have confirmed the renewed cult clash in Diobu.
