Judicial Committee Set Up To Monitor Corruption Cases Lands In Port Harcourt

Members of the set up by National Judicial Council to monitor Corruption Related Cases, KOTRICO have visited Rivers State Judiciary in Port Harcourt to have an interactive session with the judges in the state on corruption related cases.

Addressing newsmen after the meeting, the Chief Judge of Oyo State, Justice MUNTAL LADIPO-ABIMBOLA who spoke on behalf of the Chairman of the committee, retired Justice SULEIMAN GALADIMA said the visit became necessary to FastTrack cases that are corruption related.

Justice LADIPO-ABIMBOLA said corruption is a cankerworm that have not just affected Nigerians personal image but has destroyed the Nations economy, saying that the visit is for the committee is to be knowledgeable about the challenges been faced by the judge and possible ways of solving them.

Justice LADIPO-ABIMBOLA however commended the judges in Rivers state on how they have being handling corruption cases and encouraged them to put more effort.

Our correspondent reports that the members of the committee on arrival entered into a close door meeting with the Chief Judge of the state, Justice CHIBUZOR SIMON-AMADI and other judges and no journalist was allow into the meeting venue.
