Body of Makeup Artist Abigail Frederick Exhumed Set Sail To Akwaibom For Proper Burial- Photos

Body of the makeup Artist Abigail Frederick was Exhumed and on the way to her Hometown Akwa Ibom for a proper Burial.!

The young artist, along with actor John Paul, famously known as Junior Pope, and four other crew members, lost their lives in a devastating accident on the River Niger while returning from a film set.

Akwaibom State Governor Eno’s  on visit to the family directed that her body be Exhumed and brought back to Akwaibom for burial came through an announcement by his Chief Press Secretary, Ekerete Udoh, on social media. Expressing his condolences, Governor Eno praised Frederick as a “shining example” of the state’s youth dedicated to excellence. Abigael Frederick, a 24-year-old Theatre Arts graduate who had pursued her passion in makeup artistry, is mourned deeply by the state government, her family, the Nollywood community, and her colleagues.

The governor also addressed the controversy surrounding the initial handling of Frederick’s remains, which were buried hastily at the riverbank after being recovered on April 11. Highlighting a lack of communication about her initial burial, he emphasized the government’s commitment to ensuring that Frederick’s final rites are conducted with the respect and dignity she deserves
