Federal High Court Orders INEC To Remove Edozie Njoku’s Name As National Chairman

A Federal High Court, Abuja Division has ordered INEC to remove the name of Chief Edozie Njoku as APGA National Chairman and immediately restore the name of Barr SLY Ezeokenwa and members of his NWC as the validly and constitutionally elected National executives of APGA.

In a well considered Judgment delivered today by Hon. Justice J.K Omotosho of the Federal High Court, the Court held that INEC has failed to show to the court which Court order mandated it to remove the name of Barr SLY Ezeokenwa who was validly elected as the National Chairman of APGA in a convention it duly monitored on 31/May/2023.

The Court further held that there was no legal basis or any legal justification whatsoever for the commission to have recognized Edozie Njoku as APGA National Chairman since the Judgment of the Court of Appeal and that of the Supreme Court did not pronounce Edozie Njoku as APGA National Chairman.

The Federal High Court therefore directs INEC to forthwith restore the names of Barr Sly Ezeokenwa and the National Officers of APGA elected at the National Convention of APGA held in Awka, Anambra State on 31/5/2024 as the duly elected National Working Committee of APGA.

The Court reminded Edozie Njoku and INEC that they cannot put something on nothing and expect it to stand.
