Gunmen Kidnaps Archdeacon Of St. James’ Parish, Awkuzu Anambra State

Information reaching our newsdesk says Gunmen suspected to be kidnapper have whisked away Ven. David Arinze Ajaefobi, the Archdeacon of Oyi Central Archdeaconry and Vicar of St. James’ Parish, Awkuzu, kidnapped by yet to be identified individuals.

According to reports, the abduction occurred around 9:00 pm on Saturday, October 26, 2024, at the entrance gate of St. James’ Parish, Awkuzu, in Oyi Local Government Area of Anambra State.

As of the time of filing this report, no contact has been established with the abductors.

When reached for comment, Police Public Relations Officer SP Tochukwu Ikenga stated that the police had not received a report of the incident.

Meanwhile, the church has begun prayer sessions for the safe release of the victim.
