Health Care Indices of Rivers Residents Greatly Improved- RIVCHPP Boss

The Executive Secretary of the Rivers State Contributory Health Protection Programme, (RIVCHPP), Dr.Vetty Agala has assured that Rivers State Contributory Health Protection Programme (RIVCHPP) will continue to strive to do its best under the prevailing circumstance to ensure that the health care indices of Rivers State residents greatly improved.

Dr. Agala, who made the clarification when she received in audience the leadership of Rivers State Postgraduate Students Union in her office on Friday, 29th May, 2026, reiterated that the policies and programmes of the health insurance agency are targeted towards bringing about accessible, affordable, and good quality healthcare services to Rivers State residents, in fulfillment of Governor Fubara’s Health4AllRivers vision.

The Executive Secretary of RIVCHPP said, ” His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Rivers State, Sir. Siminalayi Fubara, GSSRS, graciously gave us this opportunity in RIVCHPP to carry out these people oriented programmes without any obstacle. Hence, I dedicate this Award of Excellent Performance In Administration, on Health delivery, Health Insurance Coverage, and Service to Humanity, in celebration of his third year anniversary.

Speaking during the courtesy/award presentation, the president of the union, Barr.Chidi Enyie, represented by Comr.Echefu Raphael, thanked the Governor of Rivers State, Sir. Siminalayi Fubara, GSSRS, for setting up a state health insurance agency that is very effective and efficient to address health insurance coverage needs of Rivers people.

“We are here as a union to present this award of excellent performance in administration on health delivery, health insurance coverage and service to humanity, to thank you for your good works so far as the head of the state health insurance agency” , he said.

The visit featured the presentation of award plaque to Dr. Agala.
