A resident pastor and educator, Matibidi Sam Diketso, at St Peter’s Combined Christian School in Mohlaletsi village, Sekhukhune District, Limpopo, South Africa, has been suspended following allegations of assaulting a female Grade 12 student.
The incident reportedly occurred because the student was late to the Sunday church service. Despite initial denial by the school, fellow students confirmed the beating, prompting parents to demand the removal of the pastor and disciplinary action. The parents of the affected student are advocating for therapy to address the emotional impact on their child’s studies.
The school has initiated a disciplinary hearing, a medical evaluation for the student, and reported the incident to the police, as stated in their official release.
