3 Suspected Cultists Killed As 2 Cult Group Clash Attempting To Kidnap A Pastor Victim,

Three suspected cultists were killed in a gun duel in a supremacy battle between suspected Greenland and Iceland cult groups in East-West road section of Ahoada East Local Government Area on Saturday night (May 6th,2023) we learnt.

A source in the community who pleaded anonymity told our reporter that the shooting which caused serious panic stopped when the Ahoada East Police Division led by the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) arrived the scene and gave the hoodlums serious chase.

The source said for the timely arrival of the DPO and his men the cultists would have overrun the town on Saturday night. Community sources also disclosed that there is serious Police patrols in and around Ahoada on Sunday .

The shooting we gathered, resulted to pandemonium as people around the area scampered for safety while shops owners hurriedly closed business for the day.

Confirming the incident,the Public Relations Officer of the Rivers State Police command, SP Grace Iringe Koko said the shooting was as a result of cult rivalry between two cult groups.SP Koko revealed that two of the dead cultists Mr Azhinibudu Biko aka Yankee aged 35 years and Gboka Odoi aged 37 years are notorious criminals terrorizing the Ahoada section of the East West road and it’s evirons.

SP Koko added that efforts are on to arrest fleeing members of the gang.
