Delta Parent Flogs Son’s School Teacher To Death

The Delta Police Command said it has arrested a suspect, Nnajiofor Nweke, for flogging to death his son’s teacher after his son was reprimanded by school authorities for stealing two kegs of palm wine.

He said a student (name withheld) of Alihame Mixed Secondary School, Agbor, alongside others went to a local palm wine shop and allegedly stole two kegs of palm wine.

Edafe said the matter was reported to school authorities following which the students were flogged.

According to him, the suspect stormed the school in protest with a cane and started flogging teachers indiscriminately, adding that one of the teachers, a 33-year-old man slumped and died.

He said the suspect is currently undergoing investigation for murder at the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) at the State Command Headquarters in Asaba.

The matter was reported to the school authorities and the students were flogged. The suspect came to the school in protest, with a cane, and started flogging teachers in the school. One of the teachers slumped and died. The suspect is currently in SCID undergoing investigation for a suspected case of murder.
