Alhaji Asari-Dokubo’s Gets New Tittle As Gov. Fubara Presents Staff Of Office To 4 Traditional Rulers

Rivers State Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara has charged four traditional rulers not to see their appointments and recognitions as opportunities for personal gains, but a call to service.

Gov. Fubara gave the charge while presenting staff of office and certificates of recognition to four traditional rulers at Government House, Port Harcourt on Tuesday, December 31, 2024.

The governor noted that the appointment is an additional responsibility to help the government protect the lives and property of citizens in their domains.

While congratulating them on behalf of the government, Gov. Fubara told the four traditional rulers not to see their elevation as another platform to create problems in their localities as his government has the powers to withdraw the recognition at any given time, “so I want you to be partners with the government and to ensure that we continue to succeed.”

According to him, “I know that you are all men of integrity, support the cause of governance so that we can all succeed together. It is really a privileged position and I am very sure that you are going to use it to the best interest of your people.”

On his part the Commissioner for Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon Charles Amadi while presenting the four traditional rulers, commended Gov. Siminalayi Fubara for adding to the number of recognized traditional rulers in the State and assured that such action will continue to improve security and safety in the rural areas where the traditional rulers superintendent over.

The four traditional rulers presented with Staff of Office and Certificates of recognition include His Majesty Winston Odize, Alamina Oputibeya XII, Amanyanabo of Koniju in Okrika Local Government Area, His Majesty Eze Noble Friday Uwoh (CSP rtd), Eze Igbu-Ehuda, IV, in Ahoada East Local Government Area, His Royal Highness Prince Ike Ehie, Eze Igbu Orlu-Ukwo in Ahoada-East and His Royal Highness Alhaji Mujahid Dokubo-Asari, Amanyanabo of Torusarama-piri in Degema Local Government Area of the State.
