APC, Tinubu, Shettima’s Legal Team Bars Members From Speaking To The Press

Lawyers representing the APC, Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Kashim Shettima at the Presidential Election Petition Court have been barred from granting any media interviews. The APC, Tinubu and Shetima parade an array of 38 Senior Advocates of Nigeria, with a retinue of junior lawyers with them. They have all consistently declined media interviews since the proceedings began. On Tuesday, Adeniyi who led the APC legal team in court said unlike the petitioners who speak to the media after each day’s proceeding, they as respondents have taken a collective decision against it

The Justices responded by saying they are seeing more of the lawyers in the case on TV than the reporters covering the case as well as members of the public, advising the lawyers to reduce the number of lawyers they bring to court. One of the justices said, “Allow TV reporters do their work”
