Applause As Peter Obi Wades In, To Settle Peter, Paul, Jude Okoye’s Family Public Feud

Presidential candidate of the Labour Party  in the 2023 election, Peter Obi, has waded into the thronging family squabbles plaguing Nigerian singer, Paul Okoye (Rudeboy), and his elder brother cum music executive, Jude, amid their recent family fallout.

The visit comes in the wake of accusations made by Paul Okoye, who claimed in an interview that his twin brother, Peter, had filed a petition with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), leading to his arrest. However, Peter Okoye denied these allegations in an open letter on Monday, stating that his focus was on uncovering the truth behind a secret company, Northside Music, allegedly owned by their brother Jude Okoye and his wife, Ifeoma.

The recent feud between the brothers and their older brother has been making headlines, with aggressive posts on social media hinting at underlying tensions within the family.

During an interview with City FM, Lagos, Paul had claimed to have written and sung 99% of P-Square’s songs, which prompted Peter to express his disappointment and hurt over Paul’s constant discrediting of his efforts in the group. In his open letter, Peter admitted that they have failed their fans and accused his brother of disrespecting his talent, wife, and family.
