Cult Commander In Ahoada West, Surrenders His Life, Arms, Ammunition To The Police

A Greenland cult leader Ikem ThankGod aka 2 Man of Ogbologbolo Community in Ahoada West Local Government Area of Rivers State on Friday August 4,2023 surrendered to the Ahoada Police Division in Ahoada East Local Government Area we learned

The decision of the cult leader to surrender may not be unconnected to the massive onslaught on criminal camps by the Police in conjunction with other sister security agencies.

We learned that the cult leader while surrendering, submitted one AK 47,one G3 and one Mark 4 riffles as well as AK 47 live ammunition.

Buduzhi Ogbani,the Youth President of Ogbologbolo community in a telephone interview  confirmed the incident to  our reporter.

Mr Ogbani welcomed the decision of the cult leader to surrender to the Police while urging other cultists to surrender to the Police to ensure peace and stability in the area.

He equally commended the Divisional Police Officers (DPOs) of Ahoada East and West for their proactive steps in tackling insecurity in the area upon assumption of their office.

The spokesperson for the Rivers State Police Command was yet to speak on the incident as she has not responded to calls or text messages sent to her as time of the incident.

However,our correspondent reports that the Commissioner of Police in Rivers State,CP Emeka Nwonyi will be having a press briefing later in the day.
