Edo No Be Lagos: Market Women Protest Alleged Imposition Of Leaders By Tinubu’s Daugther Iyaloja Of Lagos

Edo state market women have vowed to resist any illegality that would pose a threat to the peace and harmony enjoyed by the association in the state

The Market women under the aegis of Edo State Market Women Association on Thursday embarked on a peaceful protest around the King Square axis and Oba Market in Benin City to register their displeasure over an alleged plan to install an Iyaloja of Edo Market Women this Thursday by the Iyaloja of Lagos, Folasade Tinubu-Ojo.

The leader, Blackky Ogiamen, on behalf of the market women drawn from the three senatorial districts, vehemently rejected the alleged plan, saying that it is an act of imposition

She notes that the market women association in the State is non-partisan and has worked with successive governments in Edo.
