NSCDC Seizes 70,000 Litres of Stolen Petroleum Products Hidden In An Inbuilt Storage Truck Tank In Rivers

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has intercepted a container truck in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, loaded with 70,000 litres of stolen petroleum products hidden in an inbuilt storage tank.

This operation was carried out by the NSCDC Commandant General’s Special Intelligence Squad as part of its ongoing efforts to combat oil theft and illegal bunkering in the region.

The truck was seized based on intelligence reports revealing the activities of oil thieves in the area.

The NSCDC confirmed the successful interception, noting, “NSCDC Commandant General’s Special Intelligence Squad impounds a long container truck with 70,000 stolen petroleum products stored inside an inbuilt storage tank in Port Harcourt.”

This move represents a significant step in curbing illegal oil operations in the region.
