Petrol Tanker Falls In Boji Boji Area Of Delta State, kills 3, Razes Banks, Shops

 

The Boji Boji Agbor metropolis in Delta State witnessed a dark Sunday as a tanker laden with diesel lost control and The tanker collided with a concrete road divider, resulting in a fiery explosion that tragically claimed three lives at

The crash also caused nearby banks, several shops, and parked cars to catch fire, leading to extensive damage.

At around 12pm, the busy former Mobil Traffic Light Area erupted in panic following the tragic incident.

Hon. Hunkamma Monday Odigwe, the Chair of Ika Northeast Local Government, and Hon. Engr. Jerry Ehiwarior led security agencies to mobilize firefighters.

Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Bright Edafe, who confirmed the incident, said First Bank, and Access Bank in the town were also burnt in the inferno that occurred on Sunday.Public-spirited individuals also joined efforts to put out the inferno, which lasted more than three hours.

First Bank Agbor and Access Bank Agbor buildings were among those touched by the fire.

However, the identities of the casualties of the midday inferno were yet to be identified at the time of filing this report.
