The Rivers State Government is pleased to announce the availability of the Mpox vaccine for eligible individuals within the state. The vaccination campaign will take place from December 2nd to 6th, 2024, and December 9th to 13th, 2024.
Eligibility Criteria: The following categories of individuals are eligible for the Mpox vaccine:
Health workers
Communities
Close contacts of Mpox cases
Individuals with chronic illnesses
And other high risk groups not mentioned above
How to Schedule Your Vaccination: Eligible individuals can schedule their vaccination by selecting their preferred date and vaccination site via the attached Google Form. The available vaccination sites are:
University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital (UPTH)
Rivers State University Teaching Hospital (RSUTH)
Rivers State Primary Health Care Management Board (RSPHCMB)
Again, the vaccination dates are:
December 2nd to 6th, 2024
December 9th to 13th, 2024
Limited Availability: Slots are limited, so early registration is encouraged.
Group Scheduling: If you are able to mobilize more than 20 individuals for vaccination at a particular site, please contact us directly at 08037655495 to schedule the group vaccination.
