Bus Conveying College Students For Inter School Competition Topples After Losing Brakes In Anambra

A long bus conveying St. Albert The Great College Agulu students to an inter school competition at St. Matthew’s Church, Amawbia has engaged in an accident and somersaulted with all students onboard.

The bus due to brake failure rolled back on the hill behind governor’s lodge Amawbia and smatched the vehicle of Igwe Ugonabo of Neni before it fell into a dish where it somersaulted.

No life was lost but some students were seriously injured. Some were unconscious at the time they were rushed to the hospital.

We also stayed back to ensure a dispute between Igwe Ugonabo and the Police was resolved as some officers that arrived the scene wanted to detain him for interrogation even when evidences and witnesses abound.
