Gunmen Demand N1million Ransom For The Release Of OAU NYSC Member Kidnapped In Abuja

tension as Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers have abducted a prospective corps member, Identified as Akande Abosede Esther who was on her way to National Youth Service Corps(NYSC) Orientation Camp in agaji Dan Yanusa Keffi, Nasarawa State.

We gathered that the victim is a graduate of Education/English from the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun state.

Esther, with Call-up No: NYSC/IFE/2023/201810 (Batch B stream 2) was said to have been kidnapped in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja. According to report, the kidnappers have already contacted Akande’s family and are demanding a ransom of N1m.

The spokesperson for the FCT Police command, SP Josephine Adeh could not be reached immediately for comments on the incident. The NYSC National Director, Press and Public Relations, Eddy Megwa declined comments when contacted.
