I Am Fully In Charge: Labour Party Factional Chairman Lamidi Apapa Declares

A Federal Capital Territory (FCT), High Court on Friday declared Lamidi Apapa as the Labour Party National chairman .

In a fresh ruling today, 12th May, the court recognized Lamidi Apapa as the acting national chairman of the party pending any other court order.

However, Labour party in its reaction to Court decision said Presiding judge declined jurisdiction on the matter brought before by Apapa and co against Labour Party and Julius Abure and co.

Labour party added that Julius Abure is still the Chairman of the party. The Labour party said, ” at the FCT state high court, the presiding judge refused to decline jurisdiction on the matter brought by Apapa and co against Labour Party and Julius Abure and co. In his Lordship ruling, he said that he will go ahead to hear the substantive matter. The matter has been adjourned to Friday, May 19 for further deliberation.

“However, we are appealing the ruling immediately because we know we will not get justice from the court.

“Meanwhile, Barrister Julius Abure remains the National Chairman of the Party pending the final determination of the matter.”
